I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, which probably explains my veganism and love of the sun and the outdoors. I was always singing and dancing from a very young age. Whether it was an impromptu interpretive dance to The Circle of Life (most 6 years olds do that, right?), or a big and belty rendition of Part of Your World, I was always ready to entertain.
My love of performing brought me to the University of California, Irvine, where I graduated in 2010 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I did some fantastic regional theater productions, including my personal favorite: starring as Princeton in the Southern California regional premiere of Avenue Q (and thus adding "simulated puppet sex" to my onstage experiences).
New York City called, and I answered! I made the cross-country move in March of 2012, and I enjoyed every curve the city threw my way. I sang, danced, and choreographed for the the New York City Gay Men's Chorus. I became vegan (still going strong). I discovered my passion for LGBTQ rights and the deconstruction of gender roles (down with the binary!). I grew as a person, as a performer, and as a friend.
As of September 2017, I've been in the thick of my newest adventure as an English Language Assistant in Madrid! Spain is a gorgeous country, full of ancient cities and breathtaking sights, and I've only just scratched the surface.
When I'm not outside in the sun, or doing headstands and flipping around inside, I can't get enough of Rupaul's Drag Race, Sense8 (#renewSense8), and both iterations of the animated Avatar series. Korrasami forever!
